Not clean. Mold in the bathroom. TV channel selections was weak. 90% of the channels were greenish/pinkish color. Outlets were horrible. Room & hallways smelled musty. Poorly managed if you ask me. Can't believe this is part if the Hilton chain.
Sure wish I’d have checked reviews prior to booking… Friendly service at the counter, however this hotel is extremely dated. Very disappointed with room condition, with gross carpet, sagging beds, sticky floors, poor cooling system and really smelly. Not the Hilton quality I’ve come to expect. Highly recommend choosing the Merrillville Home2 over this Hampton Inn.
Their sister property Fairfield Inn, illegally charged my card over $800 the front desk supervisor or the Gm used and old credit card authorization number to illegally charge my card. I have the proof with the exact same authorization numbers on 2 different receipts a week apart. Then they went into there system and completely deleted the reservation that I was in. Thinking I wouldn't have proof however they forgot the receipt comes to my email. If they don't reverse those illegal charges. I will come back to this review and put their names on here. Call their corporate Ambridge Hospitality and get an attorney. So I'm giving them until Monday otherwise I am moving forward with fraud complaint.
We stayed here for 5 days, the rooms was very nice and clean. The front desk service was great, very friendly
The whole hotel smells like a dirty gym sock. Felt like a warm smelly blanket when I walked inside. It is actually cooler outside the hotel in the summer. Cranked the AC in the hotel room and it eventually helped with the humidity in the room. Downstairs lobby bathroom was clogged and stayed that way the two days I was there. Not a big deal but I’m traveling with 4 teenagers so that is my go to when our bathroom is inevitably taken. Staff seemed pretty miserable from the heat. Cant say I blame them. Overall definitely way below my usual experience as a Hilton member.
The room was fairly beaten up as far as furniture, bed sank in middle and towel hanger was hanging off door. Very disappointed as we always book Hampton inn and it¿s wonderful but not this one.
If you book a room here pack a tent just in case, cause they might have canceled it because they can. I called Hilton on the cancellation they told me someone at the hotel had changed our reservation and it made sense.
When we tried checking in, before I even knew our reservation was changed, the lady quickly told me to come behind the counter to look at our reservation as it did not match what I had on my phone, and by the way good luck as everything is booked up around here for the night.
Try at any other cheap hotel as this one does not qualify for a Hilton.
